AQCH is a bimonthly, peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal committed to publishing innovative, mechanism-based, and hypothesis-driven research supported by robust experimental design, methodology, and data interpretation.

 

The journal aims to publish high-quality research that contributes significantly to scientific understanding across biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences.

 

Scope of the Journal

AQCH publishes original research and review articles in, but not limited to:

 

  • Cytopathology and histopathology
  • Pharmaceutical sciences (pharmaceutics, biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics)
  • Pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry
  • Computational chemistry and molecular drug design
  • Pharmacognosy and phytochemistry
  • Herbal drugs and formulations
  • Pharmacology and toxicology
  • Pharmaceutical analysis
  • Pharmacy practice, clinical and hospital pharmacy
  • Cosmetic and pharmaceutical technology

 

Manuscripts that are purely descriptive, confirmatory, lack hypothesis, or do not provide novel scientific insight are unlikely to be considered for publication.

 

General Publishing Standards

All manuscripts must conform to the ICMJE Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts
(http://www.icmje.org/)

 

Submissions must be:

 

  • Scientifically sound and hypothesis-driven
  • Methodologically robust
  • Ethically compliant
  • Clearly written and well-structured

 

Article Types and Word Limits

 

Review Articles

 

  • Maximum: 6000 words (excluding references, figures, tables)
  • Figures: 4–6
  • Tables: 3–4
  • References: 50–120
  • Review articles should provide a comprehensive, critical analysis of current literature.

 

Research Articles

 

  • Maximum: 3500 words (excluding references)
  • Figures: 3–5
  • Tables: 3–4
  • References: 40–70
  • Research articles must present original findings with clear methodology and interpretation.

 

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo a peer review process to evaluate scientific quality, originality, and validity.

 

  • Final acceptance is based on reviewer recommendation and editorial assessment
  • Authors will be informed of editorial decisions via email

 

Manuscript Submission

 

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in MS Word (2007 or later) format
  • Only Word format is accepted
  • Equations must be created using MS Word Equation Editor
  • Online submission is mandatory

Manuscript Formatting

Manuscripts must be:

 

  • Typed in 1.5 spacing on A4 size paper
  • With 2 cm margins on all sides
  • Pages numbered consecutively

  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods

  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgements

  • References

 

Tables and figures must be placed at appropriate positions within the manuscript.

 

Title Page

The title page must include:

 

  • Title of manuscript (bold, 12 pt)
  • Full names of authors
  • Institutional affiliations
  • Corresponding author marked with *
  • Complete postal address
  • Valid email address for correspondence

 

Author names should be written as initials followed by surnames.

 

Authorship Criteria

All authors must meet the following criteria:

 

  • Contribution to study design, data collection, analysis, or interpretation
  • Contribution to manuscript drafting or revision
  • Approval of final version
  • Accountability for all aspects of the work

 

Corresponding author must clearly define individual contributions of all authors.

 

Graphical Abstract

A graphical abstract is encouraged to visually summarize the key findings of the study.

 

  • Must be submitted in JPG format
  • Should clearly represent main results
  • Helps improve article visibility and understanding

 

Abstract

The abstract must:

 

  • Start on a new page
  • Be structured as: Background, Aim, Methods, Results, Conclusion
  • Accurately reflect the entire study

 

Keywords

Provide 4–6 relevant keywords immediately after the abstract.

 

Introduction

The introduction should:

 

  • Present background and context
  • Highlight research gap
  • Clearly define study objectives

 

Materials and Methods

This section should include:

 

  • Description of materials and their sources
  • Detailed methodology with references
  • Statistical analysis and significance level
  • Description of new or modified methods

 

Results

 

  • Present findings clearly and logically
  • Include tables and figures with titles and legends
  • Avoid repetition of data in text and visuals

 

Discussion

The discussion should:

 

  • Interpret results clearly
  • Compare with existing literature
  • Explain scientific relevance
  • Avoid unsupported claims
  • Suggest future research directions

 

Conclusion

The conclusion must:

 

  • Summarize key findings
  • Highlight scientific and practical significance
  • Avoid repetition or new data
  • Remain concise and focused

 

Acknowledgements

Acknowledgements (if any) should be placed after the main text.

 

Conflict of Interest

Authors must declare any conflicts of interest during submission.

This statement will be published with the article.

 

Funding Sources

Authors must disclose:

 

  • Funding agency name
  • Role of funder in study design, data analysis, or publication decision

 

If no funding was received, this must be clearly stated.

 

References

References must be:

 

  • Numbered sequentially in order of appearance
  • Cited in square brackets in text
  • Formatted according to ICMJE style
  • Based on PubMed standard journal abbreviations

 

Avoid using abstracts as references.

Review Articles

Review articles should:

 

  • Provide comprehensive and critical analysis
  • Cover recent and relevant literature
  • Follow same formatting rules as research articles
  • Include abstract and introduction (mandatory)

 

Reference Management

AQCH recommends Mendeley Reference Manager.

 

  • Journal style is available in Mendeley
  • Authors should select AQCH citation style for automatic formatting
