Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To analyze the predictive value of atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) for stent restenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). STUDY DESIGN: A total of 512 patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) undergoing emergency PCI in our hospital from January 2015 to December 2019, and those patients underwent coronary angiography (CAG) as a follow-up re-examination within 1 year after the PCI. Based on their coronary angiographic results, the participants were divided into 2 groups: restenosis group (n=252 cases) and control group (without restenosis) (n=260 cases). The differences of AIP and blood lipid levels between the 2 groups were compared. RESULTS: The value of AIP in the restenosis group was higher than that in the non-restenosis group (p< 0.05); AIP was independently correlated with ISR (OR=1.269, 95% CI 1.084–1.489, p=0.003). CONCLUSION: AIP might be a novel and strong predictor associated with stent restenosis after PCI. Higher AIP level was positively and strongly associated with stent restenosis after PCI. © Science Printers and Publishers, Inc.
